Broad Students Take Third Place in Chicago’s VCIC

FMI Scholars Greer Clausen, Mike Shepard and Amar Amin together with finance majors Shane Goldberg and Leondre Quallo took third place at the Chicago regional Venture Capital Investment Competition held at the University of Chicago on February 25, 2017. Miami University and Notre Dame took first- and second-place honors. Other universities in the competition included Carnegie Mellon, the University of Chicago, Northwestern, University of Michigan and UNLV. Paul Jacques, Director of Student & Community Engagement at Spartan Innovations, supported the team. He noted, “The team was very professional, worked very hard and I am proud of the 3rd place win for our first time at VCIC.”
